When Union Street Players’ production of the American classic Music Man opened on Wednesday night, the number of tickets available for the weekend run were already dwindling. Audiences packed in the Joan Kuyper Farver Auditorium in the Pella Community Center and have raved about USP’s 10th Anniversary musical celebration. People are anxiously scooping up the remaining tickets for the weekend’s performances.
Kudos to Shelley Buhrow (producer) and Pati Van Zante (director) for their leadership. They’ve packed the stage (literally!) with a fine cast. Sherm Van Zee (music director) has the audience tapping their toes and humming along with the well-known songs.
If any tickets are remaining you may purchase them Friday at the Pella Community Services Office in the Pella Community Center between 7:30 and 4:30 p.m. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door. Occasionally, some audience members return tickets before a performance. It’s always worthwhile to show up at the door and check. Doors open at 6:30.
